Roll top desks are great if the desk needs to be placed in an open area such as a living room or family room. The top can be closed when not in use and helps create a nice clean look while affording privacy. Also, many people will use a spare bedroom as an office. Antique desks are often constructed much better than their modern day counterparts. These desks will not be fitted to hold a computer; however, by drilling a couple of holes for cords they can be easily retrofitted.
